HOW 'BOUT THEM MEMPHIS TIGERS!!!!!

Postby Unlucky Ducky » Sat Sep 06, 2003 2:00 pm

As an alumni of Memphis I have not had much to cheer about for many years. But what a game today!!!! In the past the Tigers would have folded when down by 10, but today they left it all out on the field. Maybe, just maybe, we will have a winning year for a change.
I know its early in the year, but Eli played himself out of Heisman contention today, there is no way somebody can lose to Memphis and win the Heisman.
Don't be stupid, you idiot.

I personally thought Eli had a decent game, (just under 300 yards and 4 touchdowns)...with the exception of the 2 int's he threw as time was running out. Eli himself didn't lose the game. Several dropped passes and a terrible Ole Miss defense helped. I am not knocking Memphis in the least...thought they played a heck of a game and they showed alot of heart. Wish you all the best throughout the season and can't wait to see Joe Lee on Oct. 11 down in Starkvegas.

Primetime,
Dont worry about Ole Joe Lee. You better be worried about your little LSU kittens coming into town on the 27th!

By the way Primetime, dont you go to State now? Why you trying to take Eli's side? He never had a real chance at the Heisman anyways.

Well judging by the score of the LSU/Arizona game (45-0 @the moment) I don't think I have a whole lot to worry about when they come pouncing on the Dawgs head in a few weeks. Yeah, I know I go to State now, but 22 years as an LSU fan as compared to 1 month as a State student...you do the math. And as far as Eli goes, well...we all know how he stacks up against Fant.

What amuses me is that when the pro-draft pics are announced, and contracts negotiated, Manning will have a much bigger "stack" than Fant, if Fant has a "stack" at all.

Considering Eli's last name, the quality of running backs Ole Miss has had since he has been QB, of course he is gonna get alot of opportunities to throw the ball, therefore racking up some yards.
I never compared Fant to Eli. But I'm willing to bet Fant gets the best of Eli in the Egg Bowl.

As a B'dog, I absolutely loved the results of that ballgame!!! I'm a Joe Lee D. fan, no matter where he coaches. A guy that doesn't wear socks, even in the winter time, is my kinda coach!!!

A heck of a game Sat. my wife asked me if MS STATE was playing from the way I was hollering and raising the roof. GO MEMPHIS!!!!!! I aint gonna be hollering that when STATE plays them though. I always thought Memphis and Vandy were 2 admiral opponents they always play tough but just cant seem too get the breaks or the points.........GO STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO STATE!!!!!!!!!!!! I like Joe Lee and hopes he does well in Memphis. Thats the only thing I think Jackie messed up on was letting him go. For all you ole miss fans well see what happens too ole miss when ya'll hit the meat of ya'll schedual. We may have been beat by the ducks but we didnt have a heisman candidate either. Gonna be a real barnburner on turkey night.

MS Duck Hunter,

As long as we don't have Troy State on our schedule we will be ok.

By the way did you graduate in English from Miss State?
