Honda 4-wheeler question

Postby dos gris » Mon Oct 15, 2001 7:13 am

Has anyone fooled around with the clutch adjustment on a Honda 4 wheeler? I have a Rancher and wanted to increase the play on the clutch but wanted to know if there were any tricks to it first.

He said "14mm wrench and flat head screw driver on the front of the engine. Loosen the nut. With the flat head screw driver turn counterclock wise till it begins to tighten up. Turn back out Clockwise 1/4 turn while holding set screw in place. this will get you close but not perfect." "Important! If not adjusted properly it will cause clutch damage"

Sounds to me like he was trying to scare you into not messing with it!
