Five years ago yesterday...

I would have posted yesterday, but away from the computer.
Five years ago yesterday, my surgeon walked in after removing 18 inches of colon and 21 lymph nodes told me and my wife who was 8 and half months pregnant that the tumor he removed was indeed malignant and it had spread to 2 lymph nodes.
I post this for a couple of reasons:
1) There are couple of people (one in particular) on this site that were very inspirational and helpful through the process of radiation and chemo. They had been through and were very steadying influences.
2) The power of prayer, positive thinking, and being surrounded by positive thinkers.
3) I had my priorities out of order. Work will always be there. Take an hour in the middle of your day. Go pick your child up from school and go home and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. NEVER take that for granted.
4) For colon cancer once you 5 years you are cured.
5) Never wish radiation and chemo on anybody. Trust me on this. It ain't fun!
