BlackHawk down!

I hope not, I will be leaving the Tunica airport in the morning @ 7:00 on a BlackHawk helicopter, we are flying to Camp Shelby.
I would like to remind everyone to keep our men and women in uniform in their prayers. I feel sure that 99% of our men and women in the armed services would love to go out in the field on a morning duck hunt. That is one reason I think they are risking their lives.

Well...a blackhawk flew over the ponds at about 200 feet close to 9:30 this morning....did y'all leave late or something?
Coolest one was the Cobra loaded down with rocket pods and missiles about 4 years ago.
Then we have the lights-off, 2 AM flyovers that rattle the windows.

The weather was bad and the Blackhawk was hung up in Jackson.
They put all of us on a Chinook. We had to fly@ 4000+ to stayout of the weather. We did fly just East of Morgan city.
Had a good time! Glad to be back!

Those suckers have to be the loudest form of transportation available. While I was in ROTC we flew in a hughey. Nothing I've ever been around is as loud as the Chinook.
If any of yall get in the Camp Shelby area you need to stop by the Museum. It would be worth the trip.

I take it you must be an officer in the guard. I am a platoon leader with the infantry battalion down in Tylertown. Camp Shelby is my second home, I will be down there the week-end of the 22-24th.
The first time I went into the museum down there I could'nt believe it. It has to be one of the best military museums I have ever been to. I don't know why they do not advertise it more than they do. I agree if anyone is ever on there way by Camp Shelby on U.S. 49 do your self a favor and stop in and check it out.

CBrown,
No I'm not in the Guard. I got invited to go because I slid in on a trip set up for "pillows of the community".

Govt trying to build support for our men and women that serve.
I would personally like to thank you and all the men and women for giving yalls time and effort for me and our country.

Howdy folks,
I work as a Wildlife Biologist for the DeSoto National Forest on Camp Shelby projects and amintain an office there. I used to work for the gaurd directly but the feds pay a bit more. The museum on Shelby is top notch, I belive it's as good as any National Park museums or monuments.

Delta Duck, I was in charge of feeding the "pillars" when you got to Shelby at the Consoldiated Dining Facility. Hope you got plenty to eat and that we treated you well. The Guard guys get to eat pretty good now, don't they? The museum is one the finest around, I like it better than the D-Day in New Orleans. Come back next year, the AG tries to do those support trips every year. Look me up if you come back.
