Life is about to change

Postby Bourbon » Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:41 am

My boss just made me realize how much my life is about to change, for the better. In one week, unless they decide otherwise, my two little girls will be welcomed into the world. Words can't describe how I feel right now and it is hard to concentrate on work. Emotions range from fear to nervous to pure joy, often at the same time. I fear for the world they will be brought into and the hurt it can cause. I fear that I will not be able to protect them from the world and all the pain. I am nervous that I will raise them the right way and that I can show them right from wrong. I am nervous that I will not be a good enough role model and that they will know and love God like I do.

But the pure joy of hearing them scream for the first time and holding them for the first time, I hope and pray, outweighs the fear and nervousness. I can't wait to see them!

Also wanted to say thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my soon to be family. They are greatly appreciated and have not fallen on deaf ears!

Here's to my two future duck hunters!

And it won't be long, and you will wonder how in the world you could have made it without your two little girls!

Congrats and offer your bride all the love and support she will be needing - from now to eternity.

Most of all, enjoy! It's great being a Dad!!!

Don't worry to much. Just do what you think is right and every thing will be just fine. The best years of your life are still ahead!!!

You will be great, it really does come pretty natural once they get here. You will know what to do.

And if you really want to do the best for them, don't raise them to be LSU fans.

+1 on the sleep. It is Great!! My daughter didn't cry when she was born. Scared the crap out of my wife and I.a She asked the doctor is everything ok, and he said she is healthy and everything is fine. We had her on a Thursday and went home Friday.

I was a nervous wreck on the drive home. I was a Nervous wreck for another week. Soon you'll loosen up and enjoy those naps together. And you'll learn how to feed them and sleep at the same time. If fact, you'll learn how to do alot when your sleeping

Guys,

The girls had other ideas and decided to start labor at 10 pm last night. We came to the hospital and were monitored for two hours. Doctor ended up scheduling the C Section and the girls were born at 2:01 am and 2:02 am. Both Momma and babies are doing great. No NICU stay and the babies were able to stay in our room. Momma has been able to feed them twice and they are sleeping for two to three hours.

I feel great after only 1 hour of sleep, and am on cloud nine! Thanks again for the prayers. God worked another miracle and has blessed my family more than we deserve! Will post pics when I get a chance to upload them.
