I am looking into going to Gulf Shores middle of May. I am looking at getting a condo at the Wharf (as thats where the concert me and the gf are going to see) but dayum there high. We are trying save a little though. My question is this...We used to own a condo years ago at Plantation Shores wayyyyy down Ft. Morgan Road. It has been years since I have been down there and I am trying to figure out where to stay that is somewhat cheap(We aren't opposed to staying at the Holiday Inn Express on the beach) and decent. I am looking on the internet and the rates at the Wharf seem cheaper than the Holiday Inn. What has been everybody elses experience with this? Any suggestions? Anybody have a condo down there that they rent out and its open in the middle of May...I'd be up for that.

I wouldnt stay at the wharf, you are miles away from the beach and all the restaurants except what is there, not to mention the high prices. I was actually in gulf shores a few days ago and we got a room at the Fairfield Inn that is about 200 yards from the beach in Gulf Shores (took us about 4 minutes to get to the Wharf from there) and it was like $90 a night for a room with 2 queen beds. Its a brand new hotel too, if you wanna be on the beach there is a Sleep Inn I know of that is on the beach and there is a nice Hampton Inn on the beach too I believe. I stayed at the wharf once and regret it since its so far away from the beach and all the restaurants and bars

Stayed at the Phoenix 7 last year in Orange Beach. It is not to far from The Wharf, maybe 3 to 4 miles if that much.

Sugarland....not my first choice, but probably a good one

And its on the 15th of may...dayum...if it falls through I will definately be there...where's it at?

Sugarland? Seriously? That P can put a serious Whoopin on you son. If you gotta go to the wharf, you should go about 3 weeks earlier and see a real band.

I always stay down Ft. Morgan Rd and I go through Reed REal Estate. I like the privacy of the Ft. Morgan Area.

I know and I actually brought that up....she's says she's seen Panic enough and wants to go to this concert....i guess were gettin old
