What or who are some good local sources for quality ABS type dog houses in the N. MS/Memphis area? I keep my lab in outdoor concrete kennel run and my old house is shot. Thanks.

Go to a local car wash and ask for an empty 55 gal drum. Wash it out, cut a hole in one end for a door, drill about 5 or 6 small holes in the very bottom for drainage, and build a frame that keeps it high enough to spray under. I'd keep the door end a couple inches higher than the back end for drainage if you face the door towards the front of the kennel, or you can keep it level and turn it around sideways. Best of all the drum is free. .02

Me too. I have both of mne sitting on an stainless steel tubing frame. During the winter I face them towards each other and take another barrel split in halp long ways and make a canopy so the rain won't get in. Throw a little straw in and your set.

Out here a lot of the guys use old wine barrels (lots of wineries in our area) Made of oak so it is durable and the wineries practically give em away when they get old. I think that the wood is good insulator, too.
