Prolly won't see any of that sick bastards films, unless someone kidnaps me, carries me in handcuffs to the movie theater, duct tapes me to the seat, and staples my eyelids open....he's the epitomy of what I like to refer to as a "greasy, slim-ball, non-bathing, fat-phauck"!!!.....oh, and did I say I don't like his fat-azz???

If you have watched anything done by him and still dont know what to think, then that doesnt reflect well on you

his work is interesting, but alot of his documentaries are one sided like Farenhiat 911. I would recommend watching sicko because from the look of things thats where are our health care system is headed in that direction.

I thought sicko brought up a LOT of questions. Would like independent verfication of some of his facts, but I always do. No doubt health care in this country is in a crisis. I'm spending $900 a month for insurance, another couple hundred on prescriptions, and trying to come up with 2500 for my deductible for my surgery in 2 weeks. Still paying on hospital stuff from 2 years ago. I'm already paying for socialized medicine for all the illegals, welfare recipants, and indigents.... and they're sitting in the same er's, waiting rooms, and doctor offices I am. Id just as soon save the 20 grand Im going to spend this year on health care.

MM isn't any more one sided to the liberal side, than Rush is to the right. Truth be known we're all being played by the opposing fringe elements... they more they say, and madder we get, the more we're willing to go along with the fringe that most represents us, or most likely, less scares us. The fringe elements keep us all scared and not able to actually realize how bad we're all getting screwed. At the end of the day, heck, they're no more real than the charathers on wrestling or in a movie. travis

I agree. Don't believe everything you hear. If it was that good in those countries and that bad here, then why are they all trying to get here? My .o2

I have paid in no telling how much in my life for medical insurance being self employed I would be a fool not to watch a documentary like that. In this day and age as hard as it is to make a living imagine how awesome it would be if health insurance cost went away. Mrkrash don't tell me you wouldn't put that money in your pocket in a second. It would be different if what we paid for was a better product and I could see the benefit of paying vs gov provided. All I see now is me sitting in the emergency room with my kid going to see the same doctor as the medicade people and there stuff is free. I have to wait the same amount of time and I get the same service. If there was a special door for people with coverage that speed me through and a special doctor who did better stiches or put on a better cast I would understand but there isn't. Its all the same.

I understand many of yalls frustrations, but don't think that you are going to put that money in your pocket. You still pay for the insurance in a way, it's just through higher taxes( whether it be property or income). I have seen the movie more than once and have done a ton of research on the health systems of other countries, and don't feel it is better than what we have. I do agree that we may be headed in that direction. These people in other countries have to wait months to see specialists and even longer to have surgeries. I just don't feel this would be the best for our country.

when the govt makes being a doctor suck, your doctors will suck.

dialysis will be a thing of the past - you need long term dialysis, sorry you're gonna die next week

transplants will be a thing of the past - tough it out

choices of medications will be restricted - this medication doesn't work as well and will give you man-boobs, but uncle sam won't let give you the one that won't

I don't have a solution, but I'm pretty sure that asking the govt to pick up the tab on everything is a bad idea. oh and i will be leaving the country for a socialized system in a country where it won't suck as bad (for an md)- as long as there is duck hunting there
