I need to purchase a new cell phone and I am checking e-bay for a Motorola Razr. Is there anything I need to know about this phone before I buy one.(i.e. what "year",and model#, or any negative feedback). Are there different V-3's? Which one is best if there is?

I bought the newest model Razr(V3xx) last year. I've got no complaints. I can make calls and send texts. Thats really all I do. The newer ones just operate faster on the internet and take better photos.

If youre eligible for a upgrade purchase one through.
http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&index=wireless-phones&field-vendorcode=cingular&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-1&pf_rd_r=1FWMCYT2RSWBQ7CZQRWY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=304565601&pf_rd_i=12758981You can get the new Razr2 v9x for -24.99, which means you basicly make 25 bucks off AT&T. So far in the last 4 months I have upgraded 3 times with the LG VU from Amazon for .01 then tuned around and sold it on ebay for $250 unlocked. Something is jacked up in AT&T's system so every time I upgrade through amazon AT&T never takes away the 2 yr upgrade eligibility.
Tonight I just purchased a Blackberry bold for 150, will unlock it then throw it on ebay when it gets here for $$$
May have found myself a part time easy business

I got a question about all this cell phone stuff.
If I buy a phone on ebay that says unlocked, What does that mean? I have alltel service, with it being unlocked does that mean i can go to alltel and have it turned on? Alltel doesn't sell nokia phones no more, but I am wanting another nokia. I have been looking at them on ebay and was just wondering. There are a few alltel nokia phones on there, but some newer unlocked versions.
Thanks

well for instance, a Unlocked T mobile phone will work for AT&T... Basically each phone is programed from the factory to run off of a cdma tdma or gsm network. If you have cell south and purchase a unlocked cdma phone which is what CS uses i believe it will work on CS's network. Does this clarify it any?
Each carrier locks their phones in so that when they sell them it can only be used on their network, by unlocking them they can now be used on any corresponding network. Granted that the phone is programmed to correct network frequency your company uses...

Ya' know. If I was gonna stoop to cheating someone on a contract, I don't think I'd go around bragging about it. Stay classy.

no comment, not about to high jack a thread just because you don't know the details.
BIG LARRY1, Amazon is a known way to get around paying high $$$ for new phones... I was just trying to help you and anyone else out. If you do upgrade through amazon you will still be charged on your next bill the standard $18 upgrade fee.
