reloading?

I was wondering how much time, effort and money it would require to get into hand loading/reloading my spent rifle casings? I have a Sako V chambered for the Lazzeroni 7.82 (.308) Warbird and a box of bullets isn't cheap. They are about $100/box, so I was thinking about reloading. Any info would be great.

I do alot of reloading and it is pretty expensive to get started. If I were only going to reload one caliber for the most part, I wouldn't invest the money to get started. Also if you dont' shoot alot, it doesn't really pay off in the long run. For me for example, I reload for about 15 diff calibers and it isn't uncommon for me to burn 50 to 100 rounds every two weeks at least so it does in my situation. It isn't all that hard as long as you take your time, and can comprehende what the manual tells you to load. But it is a great enjoyment for me to reload and figure out what the BEST round is to shoot out of my guns. Ex. I just had a 257 STW built and we have probably shot 75 to 100 rounds trying to work up the load and find the exact load my gun likes. Hope this helps.

I think you can still get the Lee kit pretty cheap. Thats what I started with and still use.

It all depends on how much you want to shoot. You probably don't shoot much now at $5 a squeeze.

Probably be better of selling the gun IMO. I reload for one caliber currently but I do shoot atleast twice a month. 20 rds will run me $40-50 so I'm looking at about 90 a month. Over a grand a year. I figure I should break even after the first year. Plus I shoot better bullets and have more accurate rounds.
