Here's one my son got the other day. We saw this deer earlier in the hunt but he hooked up with a doe and we thought we wouldn't see him again. About 45 minutes later we saw the doe 400 yards away from us but she was headed back our way and he was hot on her tail putting on a good chase for my son to witness. They got 150 yards from us, stopped and turned broadside then my son did the rest. It's his third deer but his first "racked" buck. What did he score? Don't care cause he could have been a 170 class deer and my son couldn't have been any more fired up. The look on his face and the excitement we experienced that evening were and still are priceless. We truly had a hunt to remember.

Congrats to your son.

Each person classifies bucks different. Some think an 8 point or larger is big, Some use spread, others use score. Thats why a trophy is in the eye of the beholder. My goal is for a min. of 140", but I have friends that pass 140's. I am happy for anyone that is able to kill a buck, especially young hunters.
