McAlister Coat Question

Postby wncduckhuntet » Sat Dec 13, 2008 10:56 pm

I am thinking about getting a McAlister Waterfowl/Upland Coat in Olive Color and just wanted to see what you guys thought about them. I was concerned about the Olive color being too bright green and not dull enough to blend into timber but I have heard from some other folks that it blends in really well. If anyone has any pics of their's or any opinions please let me know I could use the help.

Well I am not so worried about how my butt looks and I know that's why I think the old school olive looks great.

I have a McAlister fleece button down shirt that is in the olive color. On days when I don't need my coat, I'll wear that and it blends in just fine in the timber. I guess the olive is the same for all products, but mine is a very dark olive.....not bright at all.

Get a filson coat!! Ive got the Mcalister coat your wanting and I really dont think it will hold up over two or three season more. Granted I hunt more than most. Its starting to wear around the cuffs and inside the elbows from standing around with my hands in the pockets. Filson has a better quality waxed canvas.
