One proud dad today. My son has really taken to duck hunting and I am really enjoying being able to watch him grow into a young man.
However he did get to witness a couple of unethical hunters today. 
We were hunting a local WMA and a couple of guys that were the third boat in the water pulled out ahead of everyone and left the landing 15 minutes ahead of time. This left him asking why would someone do that? I explained that you will always have people that break the rules, but we hold ourselves accountable to these rules. There were 5 other boats at the ramp and we all waited until time to leave. These guys went about 300 yards from where we setup and did not shoot but twice." I guess you get what you deserve holds true here. " 
I couldn't think of anything better to start though!!! 
He used to be into video games and he might hunt with me twice a year, but it's in his blood now. I let him skip school one day last week while I was on vacation to go, but he worked ahead and took his tests early, so if he loves it enough to finish his schoolwork I'll take the hit on financeing him!
