Ole Miss Bowl Game, but where?

Alright guys, lets here predictions, matchups, who you would like to see em play, who they could beat?

I wish they could get a shot at Ohio State, but playing Texas would have to be my choice out of the Big 12 (Snead vs McCoy). I think they could really handle Ohio State, any of the Big 12 schools could be problems for the Rebel secondary. How would a Texas Tech handle the Rebel pass rush though?

Will be interesting come Dec 7...

Do not think UM wants any of the top 3 in the Big 12. Throw Florida in and that is the best 4 teams in the nation. Rebs would match up good against Ohio State I think. What are UM choices? Cotton, Peach, Liberty???

Lets not put the horse before the cart....... the cotton bowl would put them up aginst a beatable foe but no1 in the top 10. Heck id love to see em play Boise State but Ball State would be good to but won't happen.

Was just saying that UM may play the one Big 12 team that does not make it to a BCS bowl and I don not think they would win whichever of the three it was. Um has had a good run late, but get real; OU, TX, or TX Tech would win easily. What is Nutt's record in bowl games? What other conference goes to Atlanta? Think it is tied in to the ACC, which Ole Miss would do well against. Does not really matter, will probably be pulling for them to lose

Why do you think they would win easily? The Big-12, I believe, is over-rated. People see these passing offenses they have and are afraid of them. THEY DO NOT PLAY DEFENSE IN THAT CONFERENCE. If Ole Miss, Bama, Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina played any of those three it would be a good game. The SEC teams would hit them hard, like they haven't been hit before. I guarantee it would not be the same Big-12 kind of game.

This year I believe is the exception to the rule. Almost any year I would agree that any of the top 5 in the SEC would play these teams tough, probably win. This season, the Big 12 is the best conference. You match their top three with our top three and they will win 2 of 3 and maybe sweep. One thing that stands out is the QB play out there. Mizzou, OU, TX, TX Tech all have really good QBs., not only from a talent stand point but also that leadership/game on the line/cool headiness that you see. Love to see those QBs at a couple of SEC schools, season would have went a little different. I am sure the SEC will take their spot back at the top of all conferences next season, may even win the national championship this season, but it is not the typical year where our #5 team can whip most other conference's #1.

I guess we'll agree to disagree....but I don't think Ole Miss would get killed by any of the three. I think wew would beat tech...and play texas and oklahoma close....They pass, pass, pass and we rush the passer like noone else.

I'm hearing since Georgia lost, they've got a shot at the Capitol One bowl.

I don't know how yall say there is no defense in that conference. Oklahoma has a hell of a defense. There is no way Ole Miss could handle OU on either side of the ball. I will say that Ole Miss is better than people gave them credit for, but GET REAL FOLKS

there were 4 bowl reps at the egg bowl: Cotton Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Chickfila bowl, and Capital One bowl i think, either that or outback. Here's what i think:

Cotton bowl: texas tech (hope our front 4 shoes up for that one)
Liberty Bowl: Tulsa? or whoever wins cusa ( this is prolly 4 the 4th option)
Capital One: Ohio State (best non bcs big 10)
Chickfila- fla st maybe?

I'd like to go to the cotton bowl but much rather go to chickfila bowl, i think we can match up better with ACC, however i would like to see how this rebel team matches up with another top teer program such as texas tech, ok st, or missouri. Just don't want to be embarassed if we do match up with one of those schools.

Hotty Toddy!!! :D :D

i am a big pusher in the sec.... i have always said that the sec is the better in the nation, however, this year, i feel that the big twelve is better..... i think their top four is better as a whole than the sec's top four. here is my top four from each....

big 12
1. texas
2. oklahoma
3. tech
4. mizzo

sec
1. flordia
2. bama
3. georiga
4. ole miss

i think their top four is better than the sec's top four, however, from top to bottom of the conference, i think the sec wins. maybe someone can understand what im saying.....

They will go to either the Cotton Bowl Vs Texas Tech or the Capital One Bowl vs Ohio State or Michigan State.
