waterfowling SOUTHWESTERN stlye

Hunted on the Rio Grande In new Mexico on Saturday, Was a good day all in all ,

got:

2 widgeons
2 greenwing teal
1 spoonie
4 mallards
and 1 pin we didnt shoot, the ranger gave it to us, he confiscated it from another hunter, we cant shoot pins or cans until December 18th.

need to some pictures of yur set up and the scenery..... dont sound like a bad bag to me, espeically after arkies opener last weekend! travis

amazing... new focking mexico kilt 3 times as many as we did...


we hunted n.e ark on sat and 6 guns took 3 ducks...

I have hunted west Texas before and it amazes me that their seasons are so liberal. Please post your seasons for us.

Also, I was under the impression there was to be NO canvasback season this year(?). Guess them Central flyway guys get that as well.

DUCK DAILY BAG LIMIT:
The daily bag limit shall be 5 ducks with the following species and sex restrictions - two scaup, two redhead, and two wood duck; only one from the following aggregate bag: one hen mallard, or one pintail, or one canvasback, or one "dusky duck" (mottled duck, Mexican-like duck, black duck, and their hybrids); all other ducks not listed - five.

i hunted west texas for a few years while i was out there and usually limited out in the first few minutes on openers...
