You kill the Buck of your dreams .....Then?

Postby swamprooter » Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:03 pm

Suppose you kill the buck of your dreams. You pay a lot of money, go out of state, yada yada...Then you go to your taxidermist to pick up and it's not your buck!!? What rights do you have financially against the taxidermist? has anyone had anything similiar? thanks

financially, you get your money back. now that doesn't begin to touch on the actual damages. if you have pictures, you might be able to get him to pay for a reproduction to be made to the exact specifications. that might get you a little closure on the deal. If that happened to you, that sucks man.

WTH are people thinking these days? I hope that this did not happen to you but if it did I would take action for sure!

You should be able to get the taxi money back, but I doubt you would get the whole hunting trip, airfare stuff back. As one mentioned, you may get a replica if you have pictures, measurement, etc.

Then?..... there'd be an booty whippin. One to the likes he has never seen.

Actually I would see how this mix up might have happened and if the rack was just misplaced, given to someone else out of an honest mistake and the other client was dishonest and kept it, or if theft or some other type of dirty deed was involved and how sorry he was for this to happen.

You can always sue for actual damages.... The deer has a value, and that value can be easily obtained. Get in touch with some of the High Fence Operations and tell them what happen and have them send you some pics of some bucks they have that are compriable with a price tag for purchasing. I think you will find out that the cost to replace it is alot hight than it cost you to go hunt it....

I would imagine if he screwed you up then he would start ordering and getting together what he needed to do a replica and you would be his no.1 priority, if not I would find out who has your horns and take them to someone else and give this guy a good swift kick on the way out
