Another FSN (fat stinkin ni66er) in a position to do good, but chooses to do harm........I hope she got fired, at the very least. Gonna talk to a kid in that way about her father serving in the military? What an idiot....I hope her father comes home from Iraq and that little girl brings him to show and tell........that FSN would get shown and told I bet........

I found this posted on that link:
The Cumberland County school system is investigating the actions of a former Asheville teacher criticized for “belittling” a student who voiced support for presidential candidate John McCain.

But the parents of that student, and the student herself, said Friday that teacher Diantha Harris did nothing wrong.
“She is usually messing around,” said Cathy Thompson, who was in Harris’ fifth-grade class in May when a Swedish film crew visited for a documentary on American politics. “When she said that, I knew she was messing around.”
What Harris said sparked the ire of conservative bloggers this week after a clip of her from the film “From Bill to Barack” made its way to YouTube. The film aired Monday on Finland’s Swedish language Channel 5…
…Cumberland County is home to Fort Bragg and the 82nd Airborne.
Cathy Thompson said Friday she wasn’t upset at the time. Her parents, Angela Moore and Army Staff Sgt. Robert Thompson, also said they weren’t mad at the teacher.
God bless them..I have deployed to AFG twice and have a five year old daughter. If that had been my daughter, I would not have been very forgiving.

She should be fired no discussion.

Parents ought to be proud: that kid's got thick skin and grit for 5th grade.

This kind of ignorance is what leads to teachers all over getting a bad reputation. Sure wish the schools had enough applicants to pick over coons like this.

STupid DAn if i caught her saying that to my kid, i would have words with her and her boss. That would have my little boy crying if that was said to him and that would have me fighting mad... little kids believe almost everything an adult says to them, that was evil of her.

if a teacher pulles some spit like that with my kid i would be at the school board directors office and with a damn good attorney. i would make sure she got put in the unemployment line. which that might be what her goal is.
