We had just ran a set up and were re-birding and I let Sadee go out with me and run beside the 4-wheeler. On the way back she turned into border collie and tried to run few cows out of our setup but she picked the wrong cow to try and mush.......she hasnt learnt the different between balls and teets but she knows now!!! He didnt run off as fast as the cows usually do and before I could haller at her he kicked at her and cracked a ribs. She usually just runs at em' and then backs off but not this time....that was 3 weeks ago. She was sore for a few days but seemed to be fine. She got better but 3 days ago had a little swelling and yesterday morning was about the size of your fist. Took her to see Doc this afternoon and he said it had abcessed so he was gonna drain it and start on anti-biotics. He just called and said the infection was little worse that he originally thought and was gonna keep her til Wed and pump her full of anit-biotics. The Doc said she was gonna fine but we have all heard that before......

you know da' bus is gonna be fine...she may be a little grumpy when she gets home but she ain't sadee without the sas anyways...

Please don't take this too lightly. I'm a little sensitive to these things after the week I have had with TizzyI know she is in good hands, but keep an eye on her and don't hesitate to get agressive with the infection.

Thanks for the support guys and gals. Just got off the phone with the doc and he said she is doing fine this morning. The abcess still has "some minimal drainage" at best, no "BEARDED CLAM" (good thing) still clear. He is going to keep her another day maybe two. His only concern is that she may have a small internal lung abcess as well which requires the same antibiotic treatment just more of it, hence the longer stay. He said she is perky, eating and drinking... all good signs.

Again thanks for the support...it is a cool thing to know that ya got firends to turn to in this type of situation or any problem for that matter!!! t
