Does anyone have any specific goals they would like to share for the upcoming deer season????? I usually set a few and sometimes I make em and sometimes I dont. i hate to put to much pressure on and make it feel like work. However because of a dismal bow season and the fact I didnt kill one with my bow, my only real goal is to try and hunt with my bow until I do kill one this year. May not seem like much , but last year I was a victim of circumstance. I saw literally 10 or 15 legal deer in range and they were to small, playin with a spotted fawn, I had to be somewhere , bigger one behind it , or I missed my one shot I took. Plus I didnt hunt much due to the heat. Anyhow, the odds are in my favor. Just a little horked about last year. So that is my goal. Get back on track with my bow! There was a time when I was automatic, not so much lately.
For added incentive I have decided the first meat i will eat beginning October 1 will be the deer I kill with my bow. Also I will not shave until I kill one.
Hope I am clean shaven and eatin backstrap at noon on October 1.
2nd goal
Have fun like they are gonna cancel season next year.
3rd
Be more family oriented during hunting season.

Goal 1: Pay more attention to details
Goal 2: Kill a deer with my bow ( have already killed one 10 years ago)
Goal 3: Kill a buck with my bow!!
Goal 4: Take my Girlfriend and my kids hunting more..

#2. Take my 3 year old as much as I can and as much as he wants to go.
#3. If #2 works out, #1 might be a stretch..

1.Make memories with new and old friends
2.Try to hunt more with my father and grandfather
3.Keep a log of my hunts
4.Stock the freezer
5. Just enjoy the privelage to be outside

I want my kids to get a deer this year. They got drawn for a good youth hunt and will be given a decent opportunity there. My oldest got drawn for a separate youth hunt on Oct 4. I looked at
http://www.accuweather.com and it showed a high of 73 and low of 46 for that day. That should make for some good hunting weather. Gun hunt on Oct 4...awesome...heck I'm pumped for her!!!
