Do you guys really eat the ducks you kill, because I have heard lots of hunters say "Ducks are nasty as hell, I just like shooting them "?
In my opinion, you should eat what you kill, unless it is causing a problem, or harming you. I myself eat ducks, but I drown them in Allegro's Hot and Spicy and chunk em on the grill.

I eat all the birds that I shoot and quite a bit of what my buddies shoot too.

I try not to have the possession limit in the freezer. We ate teal for supper the other night. I have more soaking as we speak.

I didn't marinate them. Just wrap each 1/2 breast in bacon with a slice of cheese and jalapenos in the middle. Put in oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Delish!

to me the hunt is completed when the ducks are cooked!!!!

If some one thinks that duck taste nasty, they have never had duck the way I cook it - if it is cooked right duck is a fine meal - you should eat what you kill

IF you aren't going to eat it, you shouldn't kill it IMO. We quit buying beef for the most part about five years ago. We just use what I kill for our meat. Had elk steaks one night this week, duck fajitas, Snow goose lasagana a few weeks ago. I have five deep freezers at the house, and I keep them as stocked as possible. I have two for seafood, and three for game. The system works great for me.

to add to that.... i think it is hilarious when i see guys kill a bunch of geese, take pictures, and then walk away wondering who is going to throw away the rats with wings... i just tell em i'll take em, i know a guy that eats em.. and those guys turn up their nose... i can take that snow and make you think your eating an expensive piece of beef... same thing with guys that WONT eat a merg... and i know everyone has hunted with guys that will turn their nose up to a snow etc... go inside and stick your pizza in the microwave.. keep shooting em.. Beastie will take em

I'd be interested in either your recipie for the goose or your definition of expensive beef.

Snow goose ideas:

1. Make sausage, I like my home made green onion sausage.
2. Make hamburger
3. Snow goose gumbo
4. Pot roasted snow goose
5. Maybe my favorite snow goose sause piquante

He!! yeah I eat ducks, if I didnt why go hunt them? Duck is like any other wild game it can taste good or bad, depends on how you cook it.
