I typically stay out of all the posts about Politics and Religion. Mainly because no one is ever right, and arguing (sp) just for the hell of it has never really appealled to me. But here lately I have noticed a pretty solid streak of people speaking out against the U.S. and/or its actions. The little chic who turned her back on the flag during the Star Spangled Banner because she coould, and "by recognizing the flag you are recognizing all of the people (foriegners) who died while this country gained it independence" that is what she said. And now Natatlie Maines says that she is embarressed the be from the same state as "W." I would be proud for him to say he was from MS. Everyone is right, yes we do have free speech, and yes, you can say whatever you want and not face government retaliation, but do these people know how they got all of these fredoms that they are exercising? Because we (our parents, grandparents, great-grandparentes, great-great-grandparents, or who-ever) went to war and fought for them. And that is what the brave souls are going to do in the middle east today. Thank God for these people.
Today, just the same as any, I will Gladly stand up and say I am proud to be an American!!
