Gustav is 3-5 days out with winds at 30mph and the blooming damn idiots in Brandon are under serious panic at gas stations

My truck was on E so I go to the gas station and low and behold some are already sold out and the damn line a Kroger was 30 minutes wait

I am amazed at this is there a need for panic at this point or is Katrina still fresh in everyones mind????

This storm is moving very slow and that is not good. It gives it time to build. The coastal counties are looking at a direct hit Monday morning. I rode out Katrina and learned that it is lame not to take care of your family and be prepared for the worst on hope for the best.
Seems to me that there were several people saying the same thing you are now saying back when Katrina was coming in. Most said I lived though the last bad one so I can take this one too. Lot of loss of life in the last big storm. without electicity for three weeks.
Better safe than sorry.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me yesterday....I went to Kroger in Byram to fill up cause i was bout empty. I waited in line for about 20 min behind some dumba$$ guy who filled up every possible jug he could get his hands on. When he finally gets done he walks up to my truck and says...I was just gonna let you know that the only gas they have is Premium. I just pulled on out and went down the road but had to pay a bit more for regular.

In Meridian gas went from 3.30 range to 3.64 in one day. Is that happening everywhere or is it just with these gougers over here?
