NWCC-Senatobia area
me and my dad are going to watch my brother this thursday play northwest and was just curious if you guys had any hotel-food recomendations for the area were only staying one night so we dont need anything special but dont want crap either and would like for it to be relatively close since were already spending 5-6 hrs just driving up there dont want to spend another hr going to and from any help will be appreciated

I would say that your best bet will be 15 mins North on I-55 in Hernando. As far as eating goes, I've heard good things about Como Steak House. I can only assume they are still in business.

Yes, they are...well they were when I was there last time (in February) Como has several nice places to eat. Batesville has two new brand new hotels... but I personally would recommend staying in Southaven.

I would stay at Harrah's casino and hotel, formerly the Grand, since the new 4 lane opened straight there south of Southaven. Plenty to eat there, but I would also recommend COMO Steakhouse. 30 mins tops!

There is a fairly clean hotel behind the Wendy's, right as you exit the interstate. The usual fast food places are all around town. A couple of places to eat by the Wal-Mart, right next to the school...
you are 30 minutes south of Southaven, .... probably would not drive farther just to have a place to stay. Batesville is closer, and has hotels also.

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I would try to stay somewhere other than Senatobia... You should look at the Como Courtyard on the Como strip (http://www.comocourtyard.net/). It’s one of Como’s awesome little secrets! Being you guys are staying during the week, the rates shouldn’t be too out of hand and it’s only a 15 minute drive to the campus. I also have to agree to the others, definitely try The Como Steakhouse. I promise you won't be disappointed! The 12oz filet with a heaping bowl of mushrooms doesn’t get any better in my opinion. It seems like I eat down there at least once a week. Ask for “Ashley G or Ali G” and tell them I sent ya… they’ll take good care of y’all I promise.

Re: NWCC-Senatobia area
If you are looking for a beer and pretty good time (and you don't want to pay for a steak at the como steakhouse) there is a pretty nice bar with good eats two doors down from there that has been known to be a really good time...it used to be called the Windy City Grill...not sure now.
Also, Hernando is a pretty neat place. What type of place are y'all looking for? The old venice pizza co. in Hernando is a pretty neat place with good eats and some decent scenery most of the time. And Timbeaux's on the square has just reopened...the guy that runs the boiling pointe is running it now......Lots of good options....

Re: NWCC-Senatobia area
You'll pass Como coming up I-55. I believe it's 7 miles South of Senatobia.
