I have been shooting the biscut for 2 years on a Mathews XT first and now the DXt-heres the problem, when I had the tm-100 arrow rest, I could shhot any broadhead on the market but now with the biscut and the blazers, I am forced to shoot mechanicals simply because it wont group with a fixed broadhead, anyway, whats a good rest on the market if I am shooting the quick spin 4 inch vanes?

Has anyone heard of the QAD Ultra-Rest ? It looks good on e bay...thought about getting one...thanks.

You could go ahead and get the Mathews drop away rest that matches the bow...and shoot whatever you wanted to shoot as far as broadheads/vanes/feathers goes.

After doing a little thinking, and analyzing your post...I have concluded that you bought a new DXT by Mathews, and it doesn't shoot like your "old" bow did. It could be a little off on your draw length, being that it's brand new, it could be a little out of time, heck it could be a lot out of time. I'm assuming it's a solo-cam..haven't done any research, so there's no cams to "time" but if your string stretches, it gets "out of time" or at least thats what I call it. I don't know what exactly the problem is without having everything in front of me. I would suggest going back to where you bought it and have them make it right.

have you tuned your bow? if not I would try that before investing in a new rest...also check to make sure your inserts are straight in your arrows....

Check out the QAD Pro HD. I just put it on my new DXT and its working great. Nice rest with lots of features.

thanks guys, I am looking for the mathews dropaway on ebay- dont want to drop full price for one.....the place wher I bought it does not tune bows and I would have to drive to grenada to get it tuned right, I can do some tinkering with it but would probably mess it up more than fix it...thanks.

See if Custom Gear in Michie Tn is still open. Mike Ashe (sp?) use to own it. He'll be able to do a good job tuning your bow for you if he's still in the business. That would be just about as close if not closer than Grenada I think???

trigger2...shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you a PDF with the eastons bowtuning guide....it isn't that complicated just takes a bit of time.... it is a good idea to learn to tune it yourself...and you will learn a lot about how that bow works.... a drop-away won't cure an out of tune bow, neither will mechanical heads...they are band aids that cover up the problem IMO and will make your bow less effective....

You were right about the bow being tuned! I took it to Grenada today, and they were great to deal with. They tuned my bow ( no charge) and threw in some other stuff for me. Also, let me shoot my bow in the back and made sure I was happy before I left (and I did not even buy the bow from them ) Too many places want to just "sale" a bow these days without actually assisting customers...I was sold on Lakeway Archery-Awesome guys to deal with...thats where I will be buying my stuff from now on even if I do have to drive 80 miles! I am going to learn how to tune my own bow this year if I can----I been bow hunting half my life and never learned how to tune one, but I plan on it this year!
