Had a good day Saturday despite the rain and cold wind. I think we ended up with 75 but caught all of those in 2 1/2 hours. The water came up 4 feet while we were out there. I've never seen that much water down there.

litlhitch he better have a long jig pole if he gonna reach the spillway from Mexico. I have heard they were bitting good though. He want be back until next Sun. The front page of the Clarion Ledger has a pic of all that water overflowing from the Pearl River and it has not crested yet. How deep you been fishing out there? Sounds like you had a good day of fishing, pm me when you are going back and mabey I can meet you in Jackson for a lesson on perch jerking

I drove across the spillway at noon today. Saw one boat. They said on the radio that the river has crested today at 35 something. If you wanted to ride up from Lakeland Dr., I suppose you would have the whole place to yourself because the Rankin County parking lot was partially flooded and barricaded.

Johnboy114-it's CRAPPIE, get it straight
We parked on the Rankin county side and when we left, there was foam getting blown all over the cars and parking lot, I figure they closed it soon after we left.
I imagine we were fishing in water about 20 ft deep (i know one place was 22 ft) and were catching them at about 10.5 ft.
