I feel puppy fever coming on

We lost our female chocolate to the rainbow bridge two years ago. Susie was with us for 13 years. She was our first lab and because of her God given talent we became hooked on hunt tests. Tommy always called her a "neighborhood dog" because I just looked up an ad in the paper and found her in a litter of pups in a suburban backyard. We had no idea how smart labs were. She was a great house dog too except, if she got into the bed first, we were out of luck because she was not about to scoot over. My new pup will also stay in the house.
Tommy has his two black males that he is partial to but I'm ready for another pup of my own. I "think" I want another chocolate female, but I have seen the strong intelligence of a black lab. I know I could be opening a can of worms, but are there any chocolate lovers that have converted to blacks out there? JoEllen

I am hoping I don't have to redo my reply over here to JoEllen. Wagars is growling at the thought.

Ok Yall, I got it.

Definite chocolate.

I forget that Susie did not have the lineage we now strive for. When we started training our black lab, Jimmy Mack, I could see that he caught on faster than Susie, but bless her heart it was not her color it was her bloodline.

Janet, Please give Wagars my apology and ask him to forgive my ignorance.
