Window Tint

I have a tint question. I am not wanting to go Jiggaboo black, but rather what is the legal limit. The reason being is that I attended an event the other afternoon and the guy helping sponsor it owns a local window tinting outfit. I won 50 sq. ft of window tint to be used on anything I please. His market is mainly houses, but being that my house is nearly completely shaded, and I don't feel like spending the extra money on doing the whole thing, I opted to just get my truck done. I have a newer Z-71 and it has the factory tint on the back window and rear sides. My question is what is the maximum I can get it tinted on the front sides and can I put anything over the back and rear sides, and if so, how much? appreciate it. And no, I am not wanting to start a debate.

IMO I would have him match the sides. I had mine done that way and have never had any problems.

I matched my back (factory tint) on the sides and it has been legal every time I have gone to get a new inspection sticker!!!

Most people that specialize in tinting vehicles will know the legal %. I do know that you cant go as dark as factory on the newer models if they have the little tint % device because they are less than 25% from factory on Chevy.

Most back window and side window tint on Ford's and Chevy's is 15% => Not legal for front windows.
Get it as dark as you can legally. Once you have it, tint is addictive. You will always want it darker. Mine is blacked out and I wouldn't have it any other way.

if you don't have any tint now, then make sure whatever you get is legal. Once you black them out you will never be able to go back to legal tint.
