Why do I feel like I am one of the few who gives a DAMN!?

I was having a conversation with a few guys last night and to make a long story short they are your "newcomer" types who still probably have no idea that a 60/6 season is not all there is to it (referencing duck season lengths). I see or hear very few talking about the crisis and possible outcome of hellish - like duck seasons in the near future. If they could get any worse. Crp is going under and I gotta bad gut feeling there ain't gonna be chit DU or anyone else can do about it. I would be willing to bet that the majority of folks waterfowling have no idea what grim of an outlook waterfowling has ahead of it.
Projecting over 5 million acres of CRP in the PPR being plowed under by 2012. Yeah it's a drought up there this year, take away 1 million acres of crp that was plowed under this year and it adds to it. Suprisingly DW had a write up and mentions the commericalization of duck hunting since the long standing 60/6 seasons started. I wonder how the feds and other entities of commercial waterfowling are gonne cook up another lib season? Where are they gonna find an extra couple millions ducks that "slipped by" in the first run of counting? I'd imagine the guys making the muskrat mound mallard decoy system won't fare well when Little Johny and his Z71 Tahoe crew stops waterfowling. We better cook up some numbers, gotta keep the folks happy. I am ashamed to say it but duck hunting has become a circus 90% of the time at public grounds. If waders could possibly get any more "technological", DRAKE has gotta put the icing on the cake. We gotta "@#$%#" duck that flies around poles now.... Am i the only one that hopes folks don't see this stuff and put me in the same category?
And speaking of the word drake. I remember hearing the word drake for the first time when I was little and hunting. I ask my dad what kind of duck that is and he says, "it's a drake wood duck". What a romantic word for such a wonderful thing. But now... if I see one more silver lab "huntin' daaawg" called drake or have to hear one more guy screamin' DRAAAAAAAAKE!! HEEEERE! in the duck marsh I'm gonna flip my canoe and hope it drowns me. I ain't even gonna start on Avery. It's gotten to the point now where there aren't gonna be guys of my generation writing books on antics in the duck blind, it's gonna folks writing stuff on the antics of boat ramps. Damn I'm ready for duck season.
What stirs me even more chillingly is the absolute disalusionment that gun onwers have. I see very little talk in any forums or real life settings of what has recently happened with the SC hearings on the 2nd amendment. It seems it's just a small talk thing that comes and goes faster than talk of the "fat chick that kinda turns me on" conversation. It absolutely scares the wheezin' and poppin' chit outta me that folks just don't care much about it. 5-4? Am I the only one that thinks that's a tadd close? I know a tadd will do it but come on, we may have President Hope in office for the next 4-8 years. Some of those justices are gettin' mighty old.
Rant's perty much over it's just a cryin' damn shame that so many folks thought and still think this was just some more " gun stuff happenin', no biggy" ordeal. I am going home now, if I don't run out of gas.
