anybody heard anything lately out of them ? leaving tomorrow for a couple days chasing specks and reds.....

Trout fishing is good right now. I would go over to Fremason, not too far and better trout.

Free Mason has been on fire!!! and the marsh has been good too!....I havent heard much about Chandeleur lately but thats not to say you will not catch fish over there.. I suggest throwing some big topwater (Rapala xl) right at daylight and dusk over the grass flats, than plastics in the deeper cuts and small well heads on the west side midday. I have seen some phenomenal trout catches this year, seems like its been a year of the bigguns!!!!! Oh yeh if you see birds(big gulls) diving make sur you fish them, they have been a quaranteed limit as of late.
