Looking for a new E collar
Fellas, I've got to have a new e collar. I'm really looking at the TT Pro 500 G2 (exp) or the Dogtra 3500 or 3502. My last collar was a Dogtra 1200NC and I really liked it, but I'm looking for something that is first and foremost a great training tool, that could be used hunting also. I'm not considering any other brands. I've heard the TT are better for training because once you get used to them, you can watch your dog and adjust the collar without looking down at it. I've also heard the same thing about getting used to the Dogtra. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks, Scott

Had my new 3500 for a couple of weks now and love it!! I really like the small transmitter size as it will easily fit on my lanyard during duck season! I've been very pleased....

Wow, that has not been my experience at all, they have been nothing but helpfull and courtious. However, since I switched from the sport model to the Flyway G2 I have not had to contact CS, except for a few operational questions.
I absolutely love my TT Flyway G2, comfortable in hand, small reciever around the dogs neck and will hold a charge for weeks at a time and only takes 2hours for a full charge.
I have never used a Dogtra and I am sure it is a great product. But that reciever looks like a giant brick hanging off the dogs neck. Not sure why it needs to be that big.
Now I have been told by a local Pro that the Dogtra is a hotter collar than the TT

"Fairy wand" BWAAAHHAAAAHAA That's funny!
I bought the G3 last december during duck season as a back up collar because my old orig model flyway was having battery issues. After two weeks into the season, the dial for the dog selecter came off (not a big deal because I only have one dog, but still, I never even turned the damn knob and it fell off). I have not had the distance problem with mine that some folks I know have had (but I figure it is just a matter of time) but on some days it takes every bit of the juice that collar has for a high strung alpha dog.
If anyone needs a slighly used G3 missing the dog selecter dial (u can still select multiple dogs, you just have to move the metal piece to the next position) it is for sell. Starting price is $150.

Re: Looking for a new E collar
Well i had the TT flyway G2 ,,,and your right i loved the remote and the reciever . My problem was the clips on the reciever that attach's to the collar kept breaking ,,,,,,,,,and after several replacements it kept happening and CS for TT said they would not replace another because it was my fault .
1. My dog was too big
2. i put it on too tight
3. My dog must hit the water or cover too hard . (WTH)
4. I must have snapped a lead on the collar ring (that is made for a snap) which i did not
My old pro 100 was great , i thought i was upgrading BUT i really down graded with the G2
And the new dogtra reciever is the same size as the G2 ,,,,,,,at least on the 3500 and it is HOTTER !
And my new dogtra winger remote's are made BETTER than my TT and the transmitter is reachargable where the TT use's a 9 volt .
(IMHO) The dogtra is the best for the money , and it aint bad moving to the dark side

I did a price check on them earlier. never used k9-electronics, but they had them new for around $400 for the 3502.
