These hybrids are loose on the Mississippi Flyway and have been elevated to super-trophies as they are all banded. They were caught, banded and released by a friend that is a bander in southern Ontario. Be on the look-out and call me or RR if you see one so we can come collect it

Would be for scientific purposes only
Mallard/Pintail banded in 2006 and hasn't been reported killed yet. He actually banded two of these.

Mallard/Gadwall a.k.a. Brewer's Duck banded in 2007 and unreported as of this season.

Mallard/Wigeon was banded this past month. It's an adult already!

I've heard the term used with Mallard/Domestic crosses, but Mallard/Pintails are fertile and can reproduce.

That mallard grey duck cross looks like a gigantic cracked out drake greenwing. Pretty cool though

If you had a redhead crossed with a ringneck, you would have a redneck duck...my kind of duck there! Just as he buzzes through the decoys, you hear the unmistakable hail call, "Hey y'all, watch this!"
