Fishing lure ? for you bass guy's
Fishing lure ? for you bass guy's
Is matching the color patttern or the size pattern more important?I'v been wearing out the bream and yesterday the bass showed up like sharks chasing the bream on my line, well today one finaly caught up to one and took it.Don't really care for the bass right because the bream are hot but the bass are big (taking fileting size bream) so here's the ? match the color or try to find really big lure?

A perfect copy but it ain't big and you need to put some bigger hooks on it, maybe. Any bream colored cranker might work, also.

I think it depends on the size of fish available to catch. I have always been told, use big lures for big fish. I remember going to lake okeechobee when I was small. My dad fished with shiners that looked like salmon! They would also through huge wooden plugs. My dad never paid attention to the color, but he always had huge lures.

as many lure's as bass pro has, why not get something that matches the size and color of the bream? I don't believe the color has to be exact, just use something with some purple in it if they are feeding on bream. Try a swim bait in a bream pattern.

I have not found one lure to work on all bass this year... I usually have one or two solid lures but they seem to in general like crankbaits I just have not found a color they all like but for sure a crankbait and Pumpkin Seed Lizards are pretty hot now also...You wil have to experiment with the color though.

Bigger lures typically will catch larger fish. A big bass is like Double R2 it is fat and lethargic. If it is going to expend energy it want to get the biggest bang for a buck (it wants the biggest meal it can get for the energey it expends). Always match the color to what the fish are feeding on.
The above is not to say that a big bass will not hit small lures and vice versa.

Color patterns probably matter more imo. Get a bandit with chartruese, black or blue with orange on the belly. You can always use a worm and catch them too.

Thanks guy's these bream are big so that's why I wondered about size.I have a good bit of bass stuff just no big crank bait's or big spinner baits.I know there are bass over 10lbs the biggest I have caught was 8lbs and I don't know how big a bass it takes to swallow a bream that you can't hardly hold but their in there.

you would be surprised what a 2 lb bass is able to eat
Re: Fishing lure ? for you bass guy's
8'' black/red glitter Zoom Magnum Lizard either drop shot it or if the fish are slightly suspended peg the sinker to the desired length
Also if they're that aggressive try using a black/red glitter Ribbit w/o weight. I had good luck in the middle of the day last week on the rez
As far as crank baits go just try to mimic the color of what they're eating on, I use a Blue back bandit this time of yr and when it gets a little hotter they will kill it.
