just curious.... with the extreme cold weather in the morning, along with major wind gusts..... who has the big cahoney's to hunt in the morning?

should be ice everywhere, and cold enough to freeze your lips to your teeth -- both of them.
it would have to get this cold at the end of the season

My hunters from Ohio say I have to take them hunting....they are in their short-sleeves and say this weather is "mild".

I'm pissed that I couldn't go this morning. You better believe I would be cutting my way through the timber this morning. Instead, I'm going over lawsuit papers our company got served with. How is that for fun.

Just got back. Didn't do that good, but had plent of open water. Wind kept it open. Lots of ducks on the power plant lake right next to my hole but they didn't leave it this morning. I think the wind kept them from getting up. Wind dies down below 20mph I'm going back.

If you're killing ducks the temp never becomes an issue. I'm going in the morning, couldn't go today (working sucks), just hope its not locked up to the point where the ducks have moved on by tomorrow, I'm hearing a lot of good reports.

I'm hearing it's going to be in the 5-8 degree range in the morning, going to be frozen water everywhere unless the wind continues to blow like it is now or if you've got a deep hole.

Well I was going this afternoon but after seeing only 7 ducks total all afternoon yesterday and the fact that the wind chill right now at Ole Miss is 1 degrees right now I believe I am going to pass.
Boys, you better keep the brass monkeys in tonight
