Here's a simple shot from 'the channel bridge' seperating Cairo(K-row) from Ingomar in Union county. This part of the country is a quiet little smudge on the MS map where bad thunderstorms, truck patch gardens, and escaping cows are big news among tractor-shed conversations. Two brothers (my great-uncles) have lived on either side of this tributary for the better part of 40 years. Many a channel cat and grey squirrel have met their demise in between these banks. Over the years I've heard story after story involving this single little body of water. When I come home from school I always try to make time to stop and chat awhile with Uncle Bob and Uncle Bill to let them refresh my memory on their past outdoor accomplishments and fill me in on current community news. Anyway, I was making the rounds last Friday and decided to capture a shot of the channel while it was in high water mode just for my enjoyment. I love this little peaceful piece of America and wish I could've lived here 50 years ago. Just thought I'd share it.
