black- bellied whistling duck in sharkey county

i got a few pics but they were a little far away by the time i got my camera on them but they were black-bellied whistling ducks. i have been hunting and watching ducks for 30 years and i have never heard anybody say that they have ever seen this species in Ms.

I have seen black-bellied whistling ducks several times in Coahoma County.

everyday i walk out my front door.., or somtimes you dont have to even leave your house, they come to you....

I seem to remember one of our forum members seeing some in the spring of 07 or 06 around Delta City. Can't remember who it was.

We've seen them the past 2 years in this one spot, but this was early,early in the year.

where did u kill that one cajun, in La. I have hunted almost every day of duck season since the 80's and I know I have never seen one until the other day.

I had 4 on my pond in Hernando (Desoto co. in North MS.) bout 3-4 years ago... they stayed for a couple days and moved on?

It was early March... or they would have been on my coffe table :lol:

Exactly the same way I drink coffee (gotta be Community) when I've got ducks sitting in the dekes...except different. Guess some folks don't know what that's like either. 8) :wink:
