Decent Hunt this Morning

Postby BATDUCK » Mon Jan 20, 2003 1:55 pm

This morning was a pretty decent hunt this morning. Me and a buddy from school went over to Holcomb and killed 6. Three gadwall, one widgeon drake, one giant greenhead, and one hen. We saw a decent amount of ducks, and it was awesome to get to take my dog out. This is his first year of hunting and so far he has picked up 23. I have been on a lot of hunts this year, but have not limited out yet. Have had some good hunts though as well as good times. Nothing beats duck hunting! Two of my buddies from Ole Miss have been hammering the ducks this year. One hunts in Brazil and the other in Marks. They limit out nearly every time. when I went with them I saw tons of ducks. there are thousands and thousands of them in Brazil. Hope next year will be better, but it is just a blessing to be able to enjoy the good Lord's great outdoors. :D

Glad to hear your dog is progressing well. How old is he and what breed?
I have a young one of my own. I'm trying to train him right, do you have any pointers to pass along? Good luck with the rest of the duck season.

Where is Brazil? I understand there is a place called that in South America, but the commute is a tough one!
