I could be wrong..... but did he just justify black churches and leaders making comments that are racially motivated, while at the same time, condemning whites for being racist in the 60's ?
which takes me back to my original issue with all of this.... well, one of them.... let a white individual be connected with comments like "the US Government brought the AIDS epidemic" ""GOSH DARNIT" America" etc.... and it would be political suicide.....

I think he just lost the election if he were to get the nomination and I think he just lost that to Hillary with his comments today. He didn't come anywhere close to putting this to rest. It appears to me he may have thrown more gas on it.
Reagan Democrats, like my 70 year old father in law, will in no way vote for Oboma and he's got to have that to win the general election. He can't do it on the black vote alone and whites are more pissed today about it than a day or two ago.
I just wish it had come out after the nomination. Now I think he'll just get thumped at the Convention for Hillary and then McCain's got a fight on his hands.

Seymore, I think you give the general american public more credit than they deserve.
I believe this helps Obama. I have no confidence in those loony college students. They are
too busy watching American Idol and Big Brother to know what is going on. They were on
his band wagon big time, just because he came out on the Change stump. They no absolutely
nothing about him. I have a sinking gut feeling he is going to be our next president. The vast
majority of the democratic voters have no idea what they are voting for.....he is just the cool
one and everyone else is doing it. And they don't want another republican. Plain and simple.
This will blow over unless John Mcain keeps it stirred up and then he will be called a racist.

If Barack Hussein Obama gets the nod from the Democrats and does not take Clinton as his VP, I think McCain wins the Presidency because there are too many white Democrats that are voting for Clinton right now that will not vote for Obama.
Now, if Clinton gets the nod and her VP is not Barack Hussein Obama, then I think it is 50/50 as to who wins the Presidency between her and McCain.
I do not think Hillary wants the VP position because Barack Hussein Obama would want to stay in office eight years which would put her up in years before she could run for President.
Hillary Clinton with Barack Hussein Obama as her VP is a 100% sure lock to win the Presidency!

The ticket wont be Clinton/Obama... It is more likely to be Clinton/Someone Else or Obama/Clinton..
Either way.. It will be a dogfight come November.. But McCain now has a lot more ammo on Obama now..

McCain still has to figure out a way to distance himself from W. This new issue doesn't help Obama, but he still gets the nod and takes oath in Jan. My .02 cents.

I hope that all of you are wrong, and McCain kicks butt against whoever the stupid Dems send up against him.
He is not my favorite Republican, but he is Republican, and not a freakin' idiot like the Dems.

I agree with gator. They all suck. I do not feel good about any of the candidates. It will be voting for the lesser of two evils instead of voting for a good President.

While you're resurrecting Reagan, if its not too much trouble, bring John Wayne back, too.
Now here's an All-American ticket you could believe in.
Reagan/Wayne 2008
