To have cable or not to have cable?

that is the question.

My wife and I are considering cutting off our cable television. We currently have a basic DirecTV and it's not really a financial issue, more of a personal preference really.

How many out there do without cable and/or TV all together? just curious

comcast is the biggest P.O.S. on the planet. and their customer service might as well be run by the chimpanzee exzibit at the jackson zoo. keep directv.

dont know the kardashians and its not a question or satisfacton/dissatisfaction with service

we're just thinking we may do without it

take a look at your house when you get home tonight and see if you entire living room isnt set up around your TV? how many pieces of furntiure in your house are arranged so you can easily view the TV? how many TV's do you have in your house so you dont have to "miss" anything?

not trying to sway anyone here, just curious could you do without it?

I have been with out cable / sat for over 3 years now.
I love not giving those SOBs all the money they extort for everyone else.

On the same note, I do miss some shows i don't get to watch except when I am at some one else's house (Scrubs, Outdoor channel, etc)

We got the dish and it is awful! Could do with out but sports is apart of my life. If i had to choose, cable would be my answer. On a rainy day when theres nothing to do but watch TV the dish always fails us. We also run our internet through the dish and its very slow. Hear cable internet is pretty fast.

Amen brother! But I would not go insulting monkeys like that. The peacocks that they have roaming around the grounds - - maybe, just 'maybe'. But not the monkeys.

I wish we could do without it but that damn cartoon network and nickelodeon really come in handy sometimes............old andy griffith shows on TVland are pretty good to knock the edge off late in the afternoon.
