I saw where Jay Ferrar and his new band Wilco were nominated for a grammy.......personally most of Wilco makes me want to drill a hole in my head with a paper clip.

Tweedy is with Wilco...their last album Sky Blue Sky is pretty good. Farrar is Son Volt and has a couple of solo albums as well as a project called Gob Iron. Farrar is the genious of the two in my opinion, but he is hard to deal with. Read the book Learning How to Die. It is primarily about Tweedy, but talks about the formation of Uncle Tupelo, the split and their other careers. Farrar will play some Uncle Tupelo from time to time...he wrote most of the songs and has the rights to them.

Definately one of my top 5 all-time favorites. Jay Ferrar is one of the greatest singer song writers of our time. Also Cary Hudson, formerly of Blue Mountian and the Hilltops.

I think Wilcos Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a great album and a must have CD.
