On several occasions throughout the season, I heard gobbling from the woods adjoining one of our duck hunting areas. There were hens roosted in the duck hole we hunted on youth weekend.
There are few hunting experiences finer than working a flock of mallards with a wild gobbler sounding off a few hundred yards away.

Spent all day Saturday putting out feed and scouting some of my turkey spots. I'll check things again in two weeks to see if the turkeys are hitting the scratch feed. Around here folks normally feed the first three weeks of February then stop around the 25th to ensure the feed is gone by opening day.
