Boat question

I am thinking about getting a spray in bed liner for the bottom of my G3 boat, because right now when we are at the lake in the summer my wife and kids don't like the hot aluminuim. My questions is will the spray in get hot too? I am thinking of a light tan color or something like that. Any other suggestions (besides the neo mats to rich for my pockets).

YES it will be very hot if not hotter than the bare alumn. I had the bottom of my old duck boat done and that is one of the main reasons I sold that little boat. It was nice in duck season but I fish barefoot year round and it was way to hot on my feet in the spring and summer time. There is some stuff out called hydro turf thats suppose to be the cats booty. you can get it several different places but the only website that comes to mind right now is gatortraxboats. I know they sell it in thier boats so you may want to check them out.

That stuff looks good, but it is way out of my price range.

yeah it is expensive but everyone says it works great. might try putting a plywood or sheetmetal floor in and then some carpet

coonman a professional spray in bedliner will cost more than hydroturf. At one time you could get "seconds" from hydroturf. It was a dark gray color but by the time it gets dirty you wont know the difference. It was also way cheaper than first quality.

I just found it at http://hydroturf.com/products.php?cat=S ... Hydro-Turf

it is the overstock dark gray 8th one down on the page. $35 a sheet 40"x62".

Those neo-mats will absorb water and get pretty heavy, they also fade very badly.

My vote would be for the hydroturf.

I like the way the hydroturf looks. i think I might get a sheet or two and dry it. i will let ya'll know. Thanks Randall.

I like the way the Neo mats look but with me back in college I don't think I can afford to get enough to cover a 1860 boat.

Plus 1.... can't go wrong. I prefer the plywood and the carpet.

i have hydroturf in my gatortrax and it might be the best option i got. if there is a way you can afford it i would make sure you got it.
