I haven't been listening to all of the BS coming from those idiots at the white house. Is that what the stimulous package is going to be? An $800 rebate for everyone? Anyone know the details? Are we actually going to get an $800 check?

That raises another question. Is the $800 independant of your normal taxes. I mean, if you normally owe at the end of the year does it just subtract the difference.... Or is the $800 completely seperate and everyone that files taxes will get a check for $800, plus their normal tax return? I'm confused.

I believe these are the projected rebates. It has nothing to do w/ income taxes. This is supposed to be an rebate incentive to boost the spending to help the economy.
$800 for individuals making <$81,000
$1600 for married couples making <$110,000

Me three. I'm not sure if it's even passed yet. I've heard if your married you get $1600. I don't think this will actually help the economy much but if it does pass this will be the first year in the last five I won't owe

It would be a great way to start out the new year!

I just read something on it. I think the dems and repubs haven't come to agreement on it yet, but the repubs want the cutoff to be up to $130k per house the dems want it to be $110k. Dems want to give the check to everyone, the repubs only want to give it to people who pay taxes. They aparently are still debating it. $800 per individual and $1600 per couple. Dems want to give $300 per person and $300 per child. The skillet heads would make a killing with all the porch monkeys they got running around.

Are the rebates going to be pro rated if you make over the income cap. The rebates need to go to everyone.
