HDTV question...

I'm about to move into a new house in Brandon. IWe're on Comcast cable. I'll be buying new HDTV's but don't have them yet.

My question is whether or not the HD signal will be at all the locations where cable is or will I have to have some type of box for each TV.

I believe you will need an HD receiver at each location.

So are Jackson stations sending out a HD signal?

Look at the Sharp Aqous, they have a great picture, do some research on line also because there are about 9 mil options out there.

You will need the HD reciever to get the best picture on the HD channels. Don't expect all channels to be HD either. They will give you a chart showing which ones are true HD, good luck.

my set up, LG 42in 1080p with Directv HD Reciever and off air HD antenna (so I can get local channels in hd without paying extra), you can't beat the set up, Directv does have the most HD channels, research it yourself. The way I see it, if your gonna spend all the money on an HD tv, why not get the most HD channels?

Most/a lot/some of DirecTV "HD" is upconverted digital, not true HD. You'll need an HD box for every TV that you want HD on. Some TV's can convert the "white space" where digital and HD signal is carried, ie, off air HD, but to get the best HD quality viewing, get the box. That is the whole point and purpose of the box, to convert HD signal the best possible way for the best possible picture quality. And don't let anyone sell you HDMI cables. There is ZERO difference between them and good component cables, which Comcast has and will supply you with for free. Feel free to PM me with any other questions...
