Unfortunately today, Will John Martin, AKA Chocolate Seal, Committed Suicide. Will John has had a long battle with the bottle and it finally consumed him today. Will John was the most Genuine guy I knew. You always knew where you stood with him and just about no matter who you were or how he felt about you, he would always be there for you if you needed him!! Please pray for his family as they are going through one hell of a time right now. As soon I know funeral arrangements I'll post them, All I know right now is that the funeral will be in Indianola.

This may be a good time to tell some GOOD stories about ole Chocolate Seal!!!

I hate to hear that. I didn't know him but that is hard to hear about anybody.

Only met him a time or two at hunt test and talked to him a few times on here.......Man, I know that's got to be hard on the family. I'm thinking he had some young children. I'll be praying for the family.

My condolences to his family- I can't imagine the pain they are feeling.

What shocking news. I'll say a special prayer for him and his family tonight.

I remember meeting him at South MS hunt test; his chocolate dog, Maggie, went for the bird and came half-way back and started EATING the duck!! What a site to see. I always joked that he should feed that poor dog.

RIP Will John

The duck issue ran in the family so to speak, his son ran under me in started at Southern Flight. They did get one pass as I recall and it was a BIG accomplishment for them. Of course they attended the party where Travis got his little award.

And he was a mainstay at our tests in Vicksburg. Good as gold and you had to love him, just one of those people, but he had demons ahold of him that no treatment could rid.

My prayers go out to Allison and the kids and his family, and those of us who counted him as a friend. I could just about count on a text every holliday and whenever he was at the grove at basically first light. I will miss him.

And it all is a reminder of how small the problems are for the rest of us.
