what kind of duck is this?

Went hunting yesterday and a buddy killed this thing. What are your guesses on it?

Its a mallard, just know know if its a drake or a hen, has the beak of a hen, and colors of a hen and a drake, i think you shot a HESHE!

Mallard for sure. We killed one identical to this bird a few days ago. Ugly as sin!!

looks like the mallard drakes we kill in october in canada not fully plumed yet. odd to see this late in the year though. i would probably mount it as there is a good story behind it.

If you go by the feet, a fully plumed mallard will have distinct orange feet, and they look bright orange to me. I am going to say it is a cross or a genetic flaw. (she male).
