Well, I did it

I asked her to marry me last night and she said yes.
The hardest part was asking her parents first with out her knowing. But I finally got a chance to Saturday, but had to be really sneaky.
Since we were going to the Alluvian New Years party, and last years was our first "date" of sorts, it seemed like the right time. I called in a favor or two, and had the Terrace Room on the 4th floor all to our selves. I snuck off at 11 and setup the room, roses, champaign, 2 Redel champaign flutes, all setup in front of the fireplace. At 11:30 when everyone started heading to the big tent to count down, I took her up to the 4th floor. We sat down, opened the champaign, and I asked.
And yes, she is white
