On the refuge some guys have been complaining about Macks, not getting the stuff they ordered and other things like slow service and stuff. Any of yall had any problems. As of yet I haven't had any problems at all. Does take a while to get a service representative on the phone but besides that its been good. They were they only people I found that had the boots. I called all over Jackson and over to Simmons, as well as Bass pro and Cablelas and only Macks had some. I put in an order last Monday or Tuesday and it showed up yesterday. No complaints from me. Was just wondering if yall was having any problems or some guys just trying to make a fuss over nothing.

A couple of years ago I tried Mack's twice, and they screwed up both times.
Major screw ups on simple orders.Swore I'd never use them again and I won't.....................Unless they are practically giving something I want away!

Ordered 5 cases of 10ga. shells and had them in 10 days this year. I can't complain except that I can't get the geese to use my dang fields. :(

I've always had good luck with Mack's. The guy is complaining because the presents his mother ordered him for Christmas are going to be late.

I don't order from them often but have never had a problem personally. I prefer to shop at the store a few times a year. Great service there. TN DD, if you read the AR Forum at the Refuge on a regular basis you would see that it is more than one fella and the posts have been popping up pretty regular lately. Just stating what I read.

Let's see..........we've had affectively nine months to get ready for the season and we waited 'til duck season to order something from the world's foremost outfitter specializing in duck hunting?.............and expect next-day service with no problems? BWAAAHHAHAHAhaha..........Go figure!

Yes, I expect Macks to be on the ball and ready. Let's use your analogy. Macks has had NINE months to test their system, check their inventory process etc. And, they still can't get it right??? Come on. If you don't believe it can be done then order from Cabelas or Wings Supply etc.

I can understand an item being on back order, but that really is just one issue of many. Cabele's FAXED me a letter saying they were sorry for a mistake on my order. Guess what?????? It was MY mistake, not theirs. Yet they appologized and "Faxed" me a copy without me even knowing it was coming. Now buddy that is "Customer Service"! I know Macks is smaller but what the hell, I am NOT gonna stay on the phone 15 minutes, on hold, to spend MY money.

Don't blame the customer, blame the business.

I'd have to agree customer service is the key to any business unless your City State or Federal then well, another thread here... Come on guys is it really worth taking shots at others... I've lost items on hunts broke things that I really did not want to break and had to order items hoping that they would come in ASAP. I guess some plan so well that they have 2 or 3 sets of everything to prevent this.. Everyone on the board please have a safe holiday and remember the reason for the season...

Best wishes
Ken

Macks has had some problems for a while now. It is not the responsibility of the customer. How anyone can even begin to believe that the customer has some obligation is beyond me. Who is suppose to serve who? In business, just like in the wild the strongest survive. I hope Macks gets stronger, I do like some of their producsts.

They have kept me on hold for 30 minutes more than once. The customer service is horrible. I always make sure I have anything I want from them BEFORE duck season.

I order on-line from just about all the shops and the best I have found to do business with is Scott's, Last year I ordered a pair of waders for my Dad and they got there on friday before the hunt on saturday morning, the only problem is that they were hip boots in stead of waders. I called Scott's and they told me to use the hip boots and they had the waders there on Monday. I sent the Hip Boots Back and then the next week, Thewy showed up back at my house with a note stating"sorry for any inconvience, Hope we will do better next time."

I ordered a pair of the magnetic wings for a mojo and waited a month before I called to check on the status. They told me that they were on back order and didn't know when they would be in. I had them issue me a check for the amount. Last weekend I made an hour drive to Mack's from my club in Arkansas to buy an Avery dog ramp for my boat. Although the dog ramp is in their catalog, they blamed the folks at Avery, saying that Avery never sent them any dog ramps. I left without buying a damn thing. To answer the question, yes, Mack's is having promblems stocking certain items they list in their catalog.

The definition of Mack's back-order:

"We don't have any in stock. We have ordered some more from the manufacturer. There is no communication between the manufacturer and us. When we get it, we will mail it. It is not the responsibilty of us as the dealer to provide any useful information regarding an approximate shipping time, so we will say 2-3 weeks."
