How 'Bout Them Bulldogs!!

Postby WhiteRiverWill » Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:23 am

After the disasterous start with LSU, it looked like it was going to be another bad year for th 'Dawgs. Coach Croon has done a great job getting the team to buy into his philosophy and put together a pretty decent year actually a very good year! If he doesn't get SEC coach of the year something is wrong.

Anytime you beat "Bama it is a good win but especially Saturday. We are now bowl eligible. We not only have the required six wins but we have quality wins over good teams. I am anxious to see how the bowl selection people choose.

Go 'Dawgs!!

I was looking at the teams that Dogs have lost too.

LSU- # 1 team in the nation, where No. 2 at the time they beat MSU.
South Carolina- Were # 7 in the nation when they beat the dogs. (i think)
Tenessee- was ranked when they beat MSU, can't remember ranking
West Virgina- was #4 in nation when MSU lost to them.

That being said, MSU has lost to some very, very good teams. They have two notable wins Auburn and Alabama. It is very possible that MSU can go to a very good bowl this year. Chances are excellent to win out and have an 8 - 4 record this year, with the 4 losses coming from top 10 teams.
Not to shabby. Took them a very long time to get there, and hopefully Croom will focus on recruiting QB's, cause that has been MSU's problem for 20 years.

He's got a good young QB now if he can keep him healthy.

give us some credit... :D we have three notable wins....Kentucky was No. 14 when we waxed them.... :D

I agree though, we have had some good losses (if there is such a thing), so hopefully we will get a decent bowl bid.

Just shows y'all don't know nuthing! Don't you know Coach Croom is black and can't coach a lick! Pure luck we've won six games! No other explanation for it!

I have to say, I surely am enjoying this season!

IT'S NOT HARD TO WIN SIX WHEN YOU PLAY THE NON CONFERENCE SCHEDULE THEY DID.TULANE,GARDNER-WEBB,UAB.PLAY .500 BALL IN THE CONFERENCE AND YOU'RE GONNA WIN 6 OR 7.

THOSE TEAMS HAVE ONLY ABOUT 5 WINS COMBINED!

I HAVE TO ADMIT THEY ARE BETTER,BUT THEY ARE NO THREAT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP YET,SO YA'LL JUST SETTLE DOWN

MALLARDBUSTER'S team played Memphis, Missouri, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State. This means they played three rinky dinks and one good team.

You know, come to think of it, MSU played three rinky dinks and one good team also. Probably is, Ole Miss doesn't know how to win SEC games.

Very surprising year for the bulldogs, but a great ride. We still have two more games to focus on before bowling!
