I have recently came upon a 4000 watt and 2000 watt cobra brand inverters. They look to be new with no scratches. What are these used for, as I have no knowledge of cb's whatsoever. I would like to sell em but don't know what they are worth.

Are they CB amps (linear) or just plane 12V DC - 120V AC power inverter?

CB Amp will amplify the CB signal and allow further signal distance. They are known as "shoes" or "linear" in the CB world. They are also illegal to use, but people still use them.

Power inverter is just that, inverts 12vDC to 120vAC. Very handy little things and I have 4 of them ranging from 75 watts to 3000 watts.

A good place to start is search ebay and find the items you have on there. That will give you a price of what people are asking for them and what they are currently bidding on them.

Ok so my next question would be:

I think you have power inverters. An amp wouldn't have that many watts probably. Worth $200 new.

I'm thinking the same thing and Cobra does make power inverters, but I don't have them in my hand or a picture to work with. Not saying Grim doesn't know what he's tlaking about, but kinda at a lose with just words to work with.
