Went to West Thanksgiving night. We hunted Friday morning and were covered up with Woodies (not a mallard in sight). Left mid-morning and road to Stuttgart. On the entire trip we saw very few birds (crossed the river at Greenville). The only place that had any amount of birds was north of DeWitt, Ar. There was a ton of people at Stuttgart. I think that there was way more than last year. Watched the dogs work for awhile, but they were having trouble. The wind was high and the brush and weeds made it tought. Came back the same way on Saturday afternoon. Stopped by a farmer's house that we are to hunt with after Christmas. He told us that the first week in Ar. was good, but they were having trouble since then. Very few birds. Talked to Hoot Gipson (the big goose guide in Ar.) doing pretty well on the snows and blues. There were geese everywhere. I hope that things pick up for all. Jack

The weather is starting to turn a good deal cooler now. I'm hoping that since it is in the 20s in Missouri right now the ducks start to head our way. Rained a couple of inches at the house on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm thinking about going home tonight to hunt in the morning if dad gives a decent report. I saw a few mallards out from starkville today just after lunch. Craft and I looking in to huning it, maybe it'll work out.
It's been a while since I've been on to post a mesg. Have a good weekend and we'll see ya soon.

Hey Jack, head to a marsh near you, it appears that we got just what I asked santa for early with this last front, my lease has birds on it wich all came in with the front. The best part of it was I was there to greet them when they arrived!!
